Consultancy Services
Aditya Environmental Services Pvt. Ltd. (AESPL) is uniquely equipped to deliver Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies in line with both international and national standards. Our founders have firsthand experience with the evolution of EIA processes and practices.
We seamlessly integrate our clients’ development plans with practical, environmentally responsible advice. Our evidence-based approach assesses potential environmental impacts and identifies effective strategies to minimize harm.
AESPL is a QCI-NABET accredited ‘A’ category EIA Consultant Organisation. Since our initial accreditation in 2011 for 12 sectors, we are proud to now be accredited in over 20 sectors. You can view our credentials here.
EIA studies are required before obtaining environmental clearance for certain project categories as per the EIA Notification 2006. Projects in coastal regions also need CRZ clearance. These clearances, along with Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO), are essential for project construction and commissioning.
You can read more about the required clearances here.
Our team is well-qualified and fully equipped to conduct EIA studies across all accredited sectors. We also provide techno-legal advice and assistance throughout the application process for environmental and CRZ clearances, including public hearings and presentations, up to the grant of requisite clearance.
We can also assist with proposals for post facto approvals, transfers, corrections, amendments, or splitting of approvals. Additionally, we support our clients in obtaining consent to establish (CTE / CFE) and consent to operate (CTO / CFO) from the State Pollution Control Board.
Environmental approvals come with conditions that project proponents must comply with to maintain their validity. Non-compliance can invalidate these approvals. Therefore, after receiving clearance, it is crucial for proponents to focus on timely and thorough adherence to the stipulated conditions.
Our dedicated team of compliance experts ensures that the clearances granted are thoroughly reviewed and that clients fully understand the compliance requirements. We assist clients in preparing compliance documents, attending site visits by statutory authorities, uploading and submitting compliance reports, and preparing responses to any legal documents, show cause notices, or directives related to the project.
We have found that through a clear minded approach towards compliance, we can help our clients avoid unnecessary hassles and complications arising out of compliance mismanagement.
We offer Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) studies in three phases to identify and evaluate Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) associated with both current and historical site uses, aiming to pinpoint potential environmental risks.
We conduct ESA in accordance with the ASTM Standards E 1527-21 and ASTM E 1903-19 “Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Environmental Site Assessment Process,”, EPA guidelines, and other relevant standards. We conduct site visits, review historical records (including ownership, property use, and previous transfers), conduct interviews, and finally submit a report detailing the findings of the ESA, including specific insights or conclusions drawn from the gathered information.
Not all sites require Phase II and Phase III of ESA. If necessary, we can provide recommendations, including preparing a Phase III remediation and monitoring plan for contaminated sites.
In addition to ESA, we offer site Exit Assessments during the decommissioning or closure of operations at a site. Although there are no statutory norms for conducting exit assessments, we identify contamination and possible legal issues.
Environmental Due Diligence (EDD) involves investigating and assessing the environmental condition of a property. EDD is typically conducted during real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, or before investing in a new project. The goal is to identify environmental liabilities, risks, and legal compliance issues that could affect the asset’s value or pose legal or financial risks. EDD is comprehensive and includes the following components:
AESPL’s team of scientific, technical, and legal experts, along with our in-house laboratory, assists clients in understanding the nature and extent of contamination on a site. Our comprehensive assessments identify risks to the environment and human health, suggest remediation options, and recommend risk management measures.

Our unique approach
We provide specialized technical consultancy for water and effluent management. Our recommendations are grounded in comprehensive studies to understand the client’s processes and requirements, including the industry’s water balance, detailed individual stream analysis, and achieving zero liquid discharge (ZLD). Our team comprises experts who have designed, built, and operated numerous plants, ensuring practical solutions backed by robust technical knowledge.
While we can suggest certified and capable vendors to supply the appropriate systems to our clients, we do not engage in the sale or promotion of any specific equipment, system, or product.
Based on our inputs, the project owner can execute the effluent management system by:
-
Employing a Detailed Engineering Consultant (DEC) - To obtain working details, hire contractors, and execute the project.
-
Utilizing Their Own Projects and Engineering Department - To detail the project based on our basic engineering package, followed by execution.
-
Employing EPS or Turnkey Contractors - Based on the provided specifications, for execution either as packages or as a whole.
We possess extensive experience in preparing inventories of various environmental attributes.
We have conducted essential research studies to develop environmental policies and plans on behalf of the World Bank (in Mumbai and Dhaka), the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC), the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB).
We carry out a comprehensive survey of the relevant industry or study area, identification, monitoring and analysis of key environmental parameters, evaluation of existing control techniques, assessment of control options, and review of international legislation. We then formulate policy options for the implementing agencies to adapt to the local context. We can also support the implementing agencies in relevant activities to evaluate the potential implications of the proposed policy.
Some notable projects to which we are proud to have contributed are:
-
URBAIR for Greater Mumbai, i.e., Urban Air Quality Management Strategy in Asia – Greater Mumbai Report (For UNDP/World Bank)
-
-
-
Air Quality Improvement for Dhaka city (For World Bank)
-
Identification of Minimum Economic Size for Certain Toxic Chemicals Manufactured in SSI to ensure Pollution Control (For CPCB)
-
Good Manufacturing Practices Document (For All India Printing Ink Mfrs. Association)
-

These assignments highlight our commitment to advancing environmental policy and planning through rigorous research and strategic policy formulation.
Our EIA findings are supported by specialized studies such as life cycle assessment, air quality modeling, noise modeling, and risk and hazard studies. We provide these studies in-house or through partnerships with specialized agencies.
In addition to support for clearances, consents and compliances, we offer services through our affiliates for obtaining forest clearance, wildlife clearance, and approval for groundwater withdrawal from the CGWA.
